Problem

When clicking “Amazon Browser / Storefront” Price Checker complains that Chrome can’t be found.

Solution

Are you on Mac OS Catalina? Ensure you are using the latest version of Price Checker

Version 2.2.35+ improves the way Chrome is discovered on Mac OS, the 10.15 Catalina release in particular.

  1. Download the latest at https://www.dailysourcetools.com/price-checker/download/

  2. Run the installer and follow the instructions.

Install Chrome (if you haven’t already)

https://www.google.com/chrome/

Update Chrome (if you haven’t already)

  1. Open the menu > Help > About Google Chrome

  2. If applicable, wait for the update and Relaunch

Remove Chromedriver

Chromedriver is an application that allows PC2 to interact with Chrome. The Chromedriver version needs to match the version of Chrome, but occasionally, this can get out of sync.

  1. Open your data directory.

  2. Delete the directory named chromedriver.

Reinstall Chrome

On MacOS, drag the Chrome application to the trash/bin.

On Windows, open the start menu and type “Add or Remove Programs”. Look for “Google Chrome” in the list. Use the 3 dots menu and select “Uninstall”.

Then visit https://www.google.com/chrome/ to download the latest version.

Further diagnostics

If the above still doesn’t allow you to launch Chrome, please create a support ticket using PC2’s “Support” screen.
