PC2 won't start: Java, JVM, JRE

Problem

Price Checker 2 or its installer won’t start and shows a message about “Java not found” or “No suitable JVM” or “No suitable JRE”.

Solution

The installation may have been corrupted, or the installer may be outdated.

  1. Uninstall Price Checker 2. Keep your data directory if prompted during the uninstall.

  2. Re-download the latest installer for your platform from the download page (login required).

  3. Install again, and point the installer to the correct data directory.
